Transakta Inc. was founded in 1990 under the original business name Rephana, Inc. As part of the small-scale and large-scale privatization processes, the company acquired and operated several significant department stores, including the Bílá labuť department store. These properties were used both for the company's own retail activities and for leasing commercial and non-residential premises.

Over time, Transakta expanded its operations into the hospitality sector. In 1994, the company built and subsequently leased the Bílá labuť Hotel.

A major milestone in the company's development came in 2000 with the acquisition of the former foreign trade enterprise PZO Transakta. This acquisition further broadened the company's portfolio to include the management of foreign subsidiaries and the execution of international financial operations. In 2008, the company built another hotel in Prague's Malá Strana district – the Royal Palace Hotel.

At present, Transakta Inc. focuses on the continued development of its business activities, particularly in the areas of leasing non-residential premises and hotel operations, with an emphasis on long-term stability, quality, and strategic growth.
